Our Vacancies

Leaders

We need section Leaders and Assistant Leaders across all age groups, its hugely rewarding, and in many cases you get to take part in many of the activities – for example Romford Scout Leaders often head off for the weekend to climb mountains like Snowdon, Ben Nevis & Scafell Pike, but don’t panic if that’s not your cup of tea you don’t have to take part.

If you didn’t want the commitment of being a Leader or Assistant Leader but still wanted to help in the youth sections then you might like to consider becoming a Sectional Assistant or Occasional Helper. You can see the difference in the roles by clicking here.

To find out more about becoming a Leader click here and we will be in touch.

Support Roles

Committee members – to help with the management of the District or an individual group. The management committee (or Executive Committee as we call it) is a little like a school board of governors and plays a vital role in supporting the provision of Scouting.

Property and Ground maintenance – Romford Scout District own and operate a headquarters in the centre of Romford and a campsite on the edge of Brentwood. These are maintained by volunteers and we are always looking for assistance in completing practical jobs at HQ and around the campsite.

Contact us by completing this form to find out more and we will be in touch.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
